There are lots of wine tours and courses in Paris as you can imagine, but some are blatant tourist traps and others are in French only which kind of defeats the purpose if you don’t speak the language.
How much does it cost?
For you entry level wine tasting it will cost between €30 to €60 per person depending on how many wines you try (between 3 and 6 different wines at this price). If you add cheese and food, prices go up.
If you are on a budget there are cheaper ways to work this out. There is a nice little place called The Wine Touch where you pay for your tasting by the sip or the glass.
It works with a prepaid card that you use to fill up your glass off a machine. They have a selection of 80 different wines, so plenty to try and a great way to control your budget. (see details below)
You might also want to try the free wine tasting events from La Dernière Goutte wine shop in 6th arrondissement. Free tasting are announced on their Facebook Page. They usually have it on Saturday evenings.

The Wine museum (Musée du vin)
If you are interested in learning about the history of wine making in France you can try the Wine museum, a small museum with audio guides in English that explains the use of tools and techniques across the ages. The place itself is interesting since the museum is located inside a 15th century underground vaulted wine cellar. They also offer wine tasting which is a bit pricey and a restaurant for lunch which is not worth the try, so pass on that.
